Can Laptops be taken into the OS

Anyone had problems taking a laptop into the ground (or the steward checked bags and you were let in anyway)?
Up from Southampton for work tomorrow and will get along to game after but see laptops were on list of things not allowed.
Don't normally need it on weekends so not had this before.
Any experience?

Its no problem whatsoever,
When I go to an evening game direct from work I always have my macbook with me as well as my fuck off iphone charger.
Stewards dont see them as a problem

Laptops are banned but desktops are ok. As long as you bring your own network cable.
